Orthoptera_v1

Omics backbone: 22 terminals
Backbone extension: analyzed 27 published source trees. From these, integrated topological information of 7 subtrees totaling 386 terminals: Allegrucci et al. (2010) Journal of Orthoptera Research, 19, 121-130; De Jesús-Bonilla et al. (2019) Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 137, 64-75; Gray et al. (2020) Zootaxa, 4750, zootaxa.4750.3.2; Li et al. (2021) PeerJ, 9, e10523; Marino-Perez and Song (2018) Systematic Entomology, 43, 90–108; Mugleston et al. (2013) Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution, 69, 1120–1134; Song et al. (2018) Insect Systematics and Diversity, 2, 3, 1-25.

Species-level: terminals with matching COI barcode for 740 named species plus single outgroup (Periplaneta_americana). Additional 1879 sequences from four loci (28S, 18S, H3, Wnt).
Known problems: inadequate and out of date taxonomy, particularly in Tetrigidae and Gryllidae.
